Project Description
57 family-sized apartments affordable to households making 60% to 90% of AMI
COmmunity Impact:
Created equity-building opportunities for 57 low- and middle-income households in the Bronx. Each home will have on-going income restrictions creating stable affordable homeownership for future generations.
Developed an underutilized vacant lot within a five minute walk to the subway into a well-designed, energy-efficient building with ground-floor community space, outdoor recreation and covered parking.
Our Accomplishments:
Closed the first project to be funded by the Open Door Program, a key part of New York City’s Mayor Bill De Blasio’s Housing New York 2.0 plan to promote affordable home ownership for residents that make between 80% and 130% of the area median income.
Helped Habitat for Humanity’s NYC office secure financing for the largest multi-family building they have undertaken worldwide.
